Course Description:
This course provides the practitioner the ability to expand their anatomical knowledge base, professional growth, and client communication skills. The participant will have the unique opportunity to explore and experience a three dimensional, detailed exploration of the human body. This class will focus on the shoulder, its core muscles, their origins, insertions, actions, fiber arrangements, depth, layering, and MDT techniques specific to them. Additional time will be spent on visceral anatomy and an introduction to the art of dissection.
Students should be able to identify the shoulders anatomical bony landmarks, and describe in detail the underlying muscles and structures in the area.
Special Notes:
If you are pregnant, or believe you may be pregnant, you may NOT participate in the dissection labs until Dr. Macie is given written documentation from your obstetrician that verifies an understanding of the chemicals to which you and your fetus are being exposed to while in the presence of the cadavers.
